Position: Web Copywriter
Location: Central Point, OR
Reports To: Marketing Manager
The candidate will be required to write clear, compelling
and accurate sales copy and web content for use in web,
email and print channels that encourage sales. Research
products to accurately describe features, benefits,
pricing and technical specifications. Update content
for accuracy while adhering to department and company
writing and style guidelines.
• Write, proofread and revise copy for accuracy
and completeness.
• Individual will collaborate with the marketing
manager in writing and executing exceptional and highly
effective web copy.
• Work with vendors and sales team members using
email and telephone communications in order to develop
the most accurate and compelling copy.
• Possess a basic understanding of best practices
for writing to achieve SEO (search engine optimization)
• Other tasks as assigned relating to marketing
and website maintenance.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of professional
experience writing about products. Must demonstrate
excellent spelling and grammatical skills and attention
to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and
Outlook is required. Knowledge of HTML, web design and
product databases are a plus. Must be able to multi-task
and meet tight deadlines. Must be able to work well
in a team environment.
