Carrels are an ideal solution for student
privacy, providing them a work space that limits interruptions or
interactions with others, so they can focus on assignments. Test taking is
further complemented by carrels as these useful desks virtually
eliminate the potential of prying eyes or information passing. This
particular model measures overall 47"h x 31-1/2"w x 27-3/4"d , though when
thinking of inserting a monitor, consideration must be give to the upper
shelf.
The actual work surface of these stationary carrels measure 29-1/2"w x
23-1/2"d and is set at a 29" height. A strong black steel frame supports the
carrel itself which is constructed of 1" thick wood grain HPL, high pressure laminate, in an
attractive teak color. An optional
fluorescent light fixture
is available for purchase that can be mounted inside the booth, underneath
the upper shelf.
