Each of these workstations measure overall 26-3/4" to 36-3/4"h x 28"w x 26"d. The depth of the monitor platform (16") is narrow to accommodate the convenient size of LCD monitors and even the keyboard platform is less deep (only 10"d) than many. The work surfaces are made of MDF with light grey low pressure laminate. Steel frame is black powder coated. The CPU is secured to the desk's front frame and nestled beneath the desk surface. These dimensions all translate into saved floor space that would normally be taken up with deeper overall desk work surfaces, meaning there will be more room space available for other uses or for more desks.
Working at a workstation or in computer lab furniture that is uncomfortable can affect the attitude as well as health of employees and students. Workstations include connector brackets that are used to connect these desks together when they're set up as a cluster group of four. When connected together, four desks take up a total of 45 sq. ft. (actual floor area dimensions of 80"w x 80"d). However, when planning your work areas, remember to allow additional space for chairs and comfortable seating access. |
