Fluorescent Light Fixtures - Wall Mount Lamps - Shelf Mount Also Available
- Compact size office fixture illuminates with maximum efficiency |
|
 |
|
These ambient
lighting units provide indirect, "up-lighting" for general illumination in
the immediate surrounding office area. Two high-output T5 fluorescent 3500K
bulbs are included with each Peony model order. They set parallel to each
other in the 22-gauge steel housing (16 gauge steel ends). Its high
performance specular reflector combined with high output bulbs and
electronic ballast help provide maximum efficiency and comfortable light
distribution.
Configurations are available for either mounting this on the very top
surface of a shelf (or the top surface/roof of an overhead bin) or wall
mounting this fluorescent light fixture. The top surface shelf mounting is
managed with rubber feet attached to the bottom of the light fixture to keep
them secure under normal usage. Wall mount capability is easy with side
mount cantilever brackets for mounting this AL5 to walls.

compared to the

The strength of
die-formed 22-gauge steel with
16-gauge ends
provide
dependable
housing for your
shelf-mounted or
wall mount
lamps. A 9'L
black cord with
a 90° plug, southwest
rotation, is
included; it
exits from the
right hand side,
though an
optional left
hand exit design
is available at
an additional
charge. The
light switch is
a two-position
model located on
the fixture's
right side.
Fixture provides
a substantially
uniform level of
illumination
over an area,
exclusive of
task required,
focused
illumination.
High output
compact
fluorescent
lamps offer more
accurate color
rendering,
energy and cost
savings.
The Peony model fixtures
include two T5
high output
3500K bulbs. One
thing noteworthy
about this is
their Color
Rendering Index
(CRI), which is
85 within a
reference point
of 100, making these
bulbs the most
color accurate
fluorescent
source available
presently.
T5 high output lamps produce
approximately 45%
more initial
lumens
(measurement of
lamp output) than a
standard T5 lamp
of similar size.
The average life
of these high
output T5s
is 16,000 hours,
which means lower lamp
replacement cost
as well as lower
resultant labor
cost for
replacing them. Compared
to an
incandescent
and halogen bulb,
these lamps
operate cooler,
with resultant
potential office cooling
cost reduction.
Also, using
fluorescents is
a way for
businesses and
individuals to
reduce
environmental
emissions. |

Sizes
are available to
fit each of the
four sizes of
lamp housings. A
clear acrylic
cover provides
three-fold
protection: It
provides a
barrier to
physically block
casual contact
with the two
high output
bulbs; It's also
easier for you
to manage dust
build-up when
using acrylic
covers; Third,
the cover helps
shield eyes from
casual contact
with the light
output,
especially
because the
capability of
these being used
as wall mounted
units might
bring the lamp
lower than a
typical panel
system's shelf
would sit.
Please note that
these are
ambient lights,
not task
lighting
fixtures, and
they are meant
to provide
indirect "up
lighting" by
sitting over an
office work
space and
offering comfortable
general area
illumination. |

While magnetic
ballasts have
benefits of
their own, electronic
ballasts offer
many deemed
essential by
users. First,
the cooler
operating
temperatures of
electronic
ballast lamps
can
decrease office energy
cooling costs.
Second, their
solid state
construction
eliminates audible
sounds of humming so often
associated with
magnetic
ballasts. Third,
flicker caused
by voltage
fluctuations is
minimized. Also,
this ballast
eliminates
interference
with Video
Display
Terminals (VDTs)
through the
omission of
electro magnetic
interference
(EMI).
