Rear view shows
the four fully
powered USB 2.0
ports, plus the
connection
points for AC
power connector
and the USB 2.0
host cable port
(host cable
included with
order).

Shown above
is a photo of
wheels set into
the bottom
surface of the
stands. These
small, non-skid
wheels allow you
to swivel your
stand when it's
set on a smooth
flat desk
surface. |
A major benefit
of these tough
ABS stands is
the four locking
height settings
that let
you position your
laptop computer
into the most
comfortable and
convenient
position for
you. A single
Actuator button
on the front
lower base
releases the
stand from its
present locked
position. By
grasping the
cooling cradle
to maintain
stability and
then tapping the
release you are
able to glide
your laptop's
cradle into a
new position.
(Do not remove
your stabilizing
hand until you
hear the locking
"click" sound at
the position
your prefer.)
The cooling
cradle itself
provides the
most long-term
benefit as the
airflow
can extend the
life of your
laptop
investment.
Another benefit
is the access it
provides to the
drives, bays or
buttons along
the front of
your laptop.
Unlike other
systems which
can require you
to lift up or
remove the
laptop from a
stand, this
X-Brand unit's
folding retainer
along the bottom
of the cooling
cradle makes it
easy. All you
have to do is
lower the cradle
to its lowest
(flat) position,
push the slide
switch on the
front cooling
cradle to the
right, ease the
cradle towards
you. When you're
done, just reset
the retainer.
The 360°
rotation enabled
by non-skid
rollers on the
bottom of the
stand allows you
to share the
screen
information with
others seated
nearby, and you
can also more
easily access
the rear USB
connections.
Generally, as
long as the
laptop is less
than 1-3/4"
thick and weighs
less than 30
lbs., it should
be usable with
this model. Its
Universal design works
with laptops running
98SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP
Pro, Vista, or Apple
Mac's, PowerBooks and iBooks.
Plus, its
USB Hub is designed for OS
Compatibility: Win 98SE,
ME, XP, 2000, MAC OS9.0
or higher. |
