Shown above is a photo of wheels set into the bottom surface of the stands. These small, non-skid wheels allow you to swivel your stand when it's set on a smooth flat desk surface.

A single Actuator button on the front lower base releases the stand from its present locked position. By grasping the cooling cradle to maintain stability and then tapping the release you are able to glide your laptop's cradle into a new position. (Do not remove your stabilizing hand until you hear the locking "click" sound at the position your prefer.)

Another benefit is the access it provides to the drives, bays or buttons along the front of your laptop. Unlike other systems which can require you to lift up or remove the laptop from a stand, this X-Brand unit's folding retainer along the bottom of the cooling cradle makes it easy. All you have to do is lower the cradle to its lowest (flat) position, push the slide switch on the front cooling cradle to the right, ease the cradle towards you. When you're done, just reset the retainer.

The 360° rotation enabled by non-skid rollers on the bottom of the stand allows you to share the screen information with others seated nearby, and you can also more easily access the rear USB connections.
