Now, however, this line features numerous sizes of security filters featuring the micro louver patterning established on the filters. A variety of sizes provide solutions for several types of computers, including some widescreen laptops, standard laptop computers, and a couple sizes of LCD desk-style computer monitor screens. The correct size filter for your notebook computer will fit snugly along the frame. You secure the placement using either the provided mounting tabs or double-sided tape connections. Both methods allow you to easily open and close your laptop. Keep the small cut-out indentation set along the top right frame edge.

Micro louver technology used to create monitor privacy filter. The illustration at left provides you a cross-sectional image of the "Louver View Control Technology" utilized to help secure confidential, personal data, or financial records from unauthorized viewing by passersby.

The competitive best. These flexible, plastic screens are not merely coated to distort or reduce visibility. Instead, our frameless filters are carefully constructed to do the utmost to reduce the visible view of your screen content from others looking in from an angle.

To provide the truest screen security yet available, this technology manufactures the filters by alternating layers of opaque material and transparent materials. These alternating layers are then sliced to specific thicknesses that create the proper depth to restrict the angle of view. How is that managed? The desired angle of view is achieved by controlling the ratio between each transparent and opaque layer, in conjunction with the thickness. Both layers maintain the same refraction index, resulting in a ghost free image (user fatigue may also be reduced as a result of the lack of ghosting). The film consisting of the alternating layers create a louver effect and is then laminated between two layers of hard plastic that is specially formulated. Anti-glare coatings are also applied.

Micro Louver Technology allows light to pass only through the front, blocking the image from being clearly seen from angled side viewpoints. The increasing laptop usage for both business and private usage, particularly with the advent of wireless internet public area access, necessitates a privacy screen. These specialized filters can be particularly important in health care institutions that must comply with the guidelines established by the HIPAA Patient Privacy Act. Human Resources, Finance departments, and Schools are three other areas that find using a privacy filter effective.

A filter for privacy that also protects against glare and improves contrast. There are many sizes of Secure-View® filters available. The smallest is designed to fit a widescreen 12.1" notebook computer. The largest filter will fit a 24" widescreen. Some size models have two designs - one created to fit the standard sized laptop computer screen and a different model configured to fit the same size but widescreen version laptop. Side view is restricted but frontal screen viewing is fine for the computer user. The image to the right demonstrates the clear frontal view sweep, where the screen is visible. The user is also benefiting with the anti-glare improved screen contrast of this product. However, viewing by a person who is outside the extended angle is made difficult as the visibility of fonts is first blurred and then completely blacked out as the angle extends.
